Edge defeated Randy Orton in a Last Man Standing Match at WWE WrestleMania 36 in what was an epic performance.

He was recently advertised to show up on the Raw after WWE MITB 2020, so the following will address what could be next for the Rated R Superstar in the WWE as he attempts to fulfill his return to the WWE ring after a nine-year absence.

Should Edge get a rematch against Randy Orton? Absolutely not. Edge did everything he could with that storyline and it rightfully came to a close at WWE WrestleMania 36. A rematch between Orton and Edge is no longer necessary but reuniting Rated RKO could work.

Should Edge go to war with some young and upcoming talent who could really benefit off of a rivalry with him? Bingo.

That is exactly what he should do, and the following will identify and expound on some future opponents for Edge after his WrestleMania 36 victory over Orton. However, before addressing those future opponents, let’s address the Rated RKO reunion.

3.) Rated RKO

What if Rated RKO came back together one more time? The crowd popped for that idea when Randy Orton announced it before turning his back on said idea by delivering an RKO and Con-Chair-To to Edge on the Raw after the Royal Rumble PPV.

Now that Orton and Edge have gone to war and hopefully found some profound respect for each other, they may consider implementing that idea to save the Raw Tag Team Division. With The O.C.  and Edge Heads being released, the only available Raw Tag Teams are: (1) Raw Tag Team Champions Street Profits, (2) Viking Raiders, (3) 2 Fly Crew, and (4) MVP’s Jobbers.

As anyone can see, there is only one heel tag team in the Raw Tag Team Division and that’s MVP’s jobbers: Brendan Vink and Shane Thorne. That is concerning and it seems that the babyface Viking Raiders could be set to battle the babyface Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team Championships at WWE MITB 2020.

Once that is over, Edge should turn heel to reunite with Randy Orton (who was also coincidentally announced to return for the Raw after WWE MITB 2020) and chase after the Raw Tag Team Championships. This reboot will make the Raw Tag Team Division more exciting, just like reboot of The Dirt Sheet did for the SmackDown Tag Team Division.
