WWE SmackDown Predictions: The Fiend Will Tame The Black Sheep

3.) Daniel Bryan, Drew Gulak, and ??? vs. King Corbin, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Cesaro [6-Man Tag]

Since IC Champion Sami Zayn is absent from WWE television, King Corbin had conveniently joined forces with Zayn’s henchmen, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro, to outnumber Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak in the past two weeks.

With King Corbin being in the equation for this scheduled six-man tag, Elias has to be the mystery component for Daniel Bryan and Drew Gulak’s team.

Three weeks ago on Friday Night SmackDown, King Corbin had aggressively attacked Elias in the backstage area to get revenge for his loss to him at WrestleMania 36. As reported by WWE, Elias suffered a bruised larynx and broken fingers as a result of those attacks, hindering him from singing and playing guitar.

Evidently, this is a storyline injury to advance the rivalry between Elias and Corbin. He should be back for this episode of SmackDown to redeem himself against Corbin, equalize the playing field, and facilitate a babyface victory with Bryan and Gulak against The Royal Collective.

2.) Lacey Evans and Tamina vs. Bayley and Sasha Banks [Tag Match]

On last week’s SmackDown, Bayley and Sasha Banks attacked Tamina in the backstage area and Lacey Evans ran in to save Tamina. Since Evans and Tamina share common enemies in Bayley and Sasha Banks, they had joined forces to take down the Boss N’ Hug Connection.

In fact, Evans and Tamina could even be the main reasons that there is a Boss N’ Hug DisConnection. It is clear that Sasha Banks lost to both Tamina and Lacey Evans in the last two weeks because of Bayley’s mishaps at ringside.

At some point, Banks will be fed up with Bayley and turn her back on her. This tag team match may be the time Banks snaps and leaves Bayley high and dry to take a loss to Lacey Evans and Tamina, thereby teasing a definitive double cross by Banks for Bayley’s title match against Tamina at WWE MITB 2020 this Sunday.

Since Lacey Evans already defeated Bayley, Tamina should get the pinfall victory over Bayley to get the momentum she needs for her championship match this Sunday. It would not make sense for Bayley and Banks to win here, if the plan is to make Tamina look as strong as possible for her first one-on-one SmackDown Women’s Championship match that she will most likely lose.
