4.) Cedric Alexander

Cedric Alexander, a former Cruiserweight Champion, arrived on the main roster and made an impact by letting his actions speak louder than his words. His matches with the likes of Drew McIntyre and King Corbin in the King of the Ring Tournament as well as against AJ Styles in high stake championship matches were all show-stealing matches and really proved that he can hang in the big leagues with the big fish in the big pond.

Unfortunately, Vince McMahon reportedly did not want to push Alexander (*cough* because he’s a black Cruiserweight) even though the crowd was very receptive to his work and even though Paul Heyman was fully behind Alexander’s push. Even since this rumor got leaked, Alexander lost a United States Championship match to AJ Styles in his hometown and is now relegated to a tag team with Ricochet that is not even in contention for the Raw Tag Team Championships.

Some fans figured that this rumor was all a ruse and there would be a slower build of momentum for Alexander in order to maintain his long-term success. Unfortunately, that did not happen and it is clear that the piss poor booking of Cedric Alexander on Raw as of late is an injustice to his many talents that are disclosed through his athletically sound maneuvers and profound in-ring psychology inside the squared circle.

Cedric Alexander’s work in the ring clearly shows that he is championship material, but the WWE Universe does not know this yet because his momentum does not support it. As long as the WWE gives him more time for his matches, he will prove why he needs to be pushed, rather than wasted.
