2. Is Lacey Evans headed for a Mother’s Day victory?

Lacey Evans is one of the least popular superstars in WWE despite Vince McMahon’s insistence on continually pushing her as a babyface. After flashing potential in NXT as a heel, the former Mae Young Classic standout has received mixed evaluations on the main roster.

Her character is clearly NOT fitting as a babyface, and it was impossible to root for her in a rivalry with Sasha Banks and Bayley. Vince has put Evans in big feuds with Bayley and Becky Lynch for main titles on either brand, and it just isn’t working out for her.

That could change with a big Money in the Bank victory, and many fans are wondering if WWE will have her pick up a big win on Mother’s Day. Evans has inspired many as a single mother, raising her daughter while wrestling for WWE around the world. But WWE may also be doing her a disservice if she wins the title via cash-in as a babyface without crowd support. It would be easy to change course if the reactions aren’t there, so it’s an interesting situation to ponder.
