WWE Money in the Bank: Top 10 Greatest MITB Winners Of All Time
By Mark Justice
10.) Randy Orton
Randy Orton won the MITB Briefcase in 2013 and cashed in a few months later at WWE SummerSlam 2013 to win the WWE Championship from Daniel Bryan after Bryan dethroned Cena with Triple H as the special guest referee.
As many remember, this MITB cash-in was a tad anticlimactic and deflating since Triple H did all the work for Orton by delivering the Pedigree to Bryan and thereby allowing Orton to pick up the easy victory. It would have been more exciting if Orton did it on his own by delivering an RKO outta nowhere to win the championship off of the MITB cash-in.
However, Orton won the MITB Briefcase as a babyface and turned heel with this MITB cash-in so it makes sense to leave a sour taste in the fans’ mouth with a nefarious victory.
Although Orton did not need to win the briefcase, he made MITB memorable by eliciting heel heat with his nefarious MITB cash-in, joining the Authority in what was one of the most obnoxious factions in WWE history, and later pushing Bryan as a formidable WWE Champion at WrestleMania 30.

9.) Dean Ambrose
On the same night Lebron James came back from a 3-1 deficit to win the first NBA Championship for the Cleveland Cavaliers in an epic game 7 against the Golden State Warriors, Dean Ambrose won the MITB Briefcase in 2016 and cashed in on the same night at WWE MITB 2016 to win the WWE Championship from Rollins after Rollins dethroned Roman Reigns in a hard-fought battle.
As many remember, this MITB cash-in blew the roof off the place and was one of the most memorable babyface cash-ins. Many naysayers and critics tend to say that MITB Briefcases only work for heels but Ambrose proved them wrong with his victory and cash-in.
Unlike Lesnar and Orton, Ambrose never won a main card championship, so he needed to win the MITB Briefcase to take him to the next level.
He made MITB memorable by receiving one of the biggest crowd pops for a babyface MITB victory and cash-in, eliciting a high-demand Shield Triple Threat at the next PPV (i.e. WWE Battleground 2016), and later pushing AJ Styles as a formidable WWE Champion at WWE Backlash 2016.
