AJ Styles

Although AJ Styles competed in the Money in the Bank ladder match, he did not win despite being in a confrontation at the top of the ladder with King Corbin.

Both men seemed likely to win, but the briefcase fell out of their graps, landing into the outstretched arms of the man who couldn’t climb the ladder, Otis. Styles was one of the favorites to win, but, well he didn’t need to win the briefcase to find a way of setting up a feud with McIntyre. And now that he came close to winning, he has a case to step into the front of the line, though it’s not like there is much of a line.

Expect McIntyre vs. Styles to happen soon, since it’s a rivalry that doesn’t need to be set up with a briefcase. Styles and McIntyre are two of the biggest names in the company and arguably the two top male stars on Raw right now aside from Seth Rollins, whom McIntyre just defeated.

McIntyre vs. Styles is a dream feud for the WWE Championship and needs to happen. It could be hard seeing Styles challenging McIntyre so soon after Rollins, since it would be another high-quality opponent for Drew to beat. Plus, Styles should be building positive momentum after being buried by The Undertaker at WrestleMania 36.

Next. Can we leave Roman Reigns alone now?. dark

Still, The Phenomenal One is a valid option to face McIntyre, and it would be awesome to see Styles reluctantly give McIntyre a show of respect after the WWE Champion humbles him at Backlash or the date of Drew’s next title defense after Money in the Bank.
