CON: Don’t give Asuka a crowdless cash-in

While Asuka has been the MVP of WWE without a crowd and can still thrive without live fan interaction, that doesn’t necessarily mean she should use her Money in the Bank contract when there isn’t a live audience to cheer it on.

Asuka may be a heel (for now), but MITB cash-ins are so exciting that they will pop a crowd no matter what. It’s exciting to be in there and feel that energy. Some of the greatest moments in WWE history are Money in the Bank cash-ins precisely because of the crowd’s response. Look no further than Dolph Ziggler’s post-WrestleMania cash-in.

A fan favorite for years since helping build NXT into a powerhouse, Asuka would get a massive pop on her cash-in, regardless of who she takes the title from. WWE should wait for that opportunity and give Asuka time with the briefcase before cashing in.

By then, someone other than Becky Lynch will almost certainly be the champion, which means Asuka could transition back into a babyface role soon after claiming the title. While it may be hard to see people booing her as a champion, even if she is portrayed as an absolute killer, she’s so talented she can remain heel. So alignment is irrelevant, but the special moment isn’t.
