Out With the Old, in With the New

We are sure you would have heard the phrase before, but the SmackDown hacker has proved that it is a fact. The character is using an account that joined the online micro-blogging platform in October of 2010, whereas the storyline is taking place almost a decade later.

The question amongst the fans must be on how did the hacker get access to this account. If that is something that has been boggling you too, then let us help you with some information that may be able to put some questions to rest.

WWE’s anti-bullying Social Campaign titled, ‘Stand Up For WWE‘ was operational in October of 2010. The company used the micro-blogging platform to share its thoughts on the campaign, and it garnered 10k followers.

The use of a dormant account by the hacker adds credibility to the character as the entity found access to an old account and made it their own. The hacker has a special mention in this situation as it gained access to something that was owned by WWE. The vignettes make this storyline intriguing and also add a layer of the uncertainty of what to expect next in due course of time.

We would have to wait and see how the company unravels the hacker to us.
