Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus [Intercontinental Championship]

The winner of the left bracket, Jeff Hardy, should go one on one with his current rival and the winner of the right bracket, Sheamus. The Rise. The Fall. The Redemption. The Comeback. All four parts of Jeff Hardy’s journey had been revealed for the WWE Universe in a cumulative promo package that was teased on four weeks of Friday Night SmackDown before he returned.

With all the hype that has surfaced about Jeff Hardy’s upcoming return, he must be getting a push for another title run. There are rumors of Hardy aiming for another World Title run. However, with Wyatt and Strowman occupied with the top championship on the blue brand, it may be in WWE’s best interests to book Hardy for an Intercontinental Title run instead.

Sheamus has a motivation to defeat Hardy since he felt disrespected every time Michael Cole mentioned something about Hardy during Sheamus’ matches. On the other hand, Hardy needs to show that he has truly transformed from his old ways and addictions and is laser-focused on becoming his best self in professional wrestling.

Being relegated to the kickoff show of WWE MITB 2020 was a bad start. Winning the Intercontinental Championship in this tournament would be a promising future for the Charismatic Enigma. For crying out loud, the WWE Universe needs a Hardy Party!
