WWE NXT TakeOver In Your House full card predictions: Kevin Owens returns
Imperium (c) vs. Undisputed ERA vs. Dexter Lumis and Dominik Dijakovic – NXT Tag Team Championship
Thanks to interim tag champ Timothy Thatcher turning his back on Matt Riddle in mid-match, Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel of Imperium are your new NXT Tag Team Champions. But the question is: who could be their first pair of challengers?
Not a lot of tag teams to choose from, unfortunately, since a bulk of those who were given the spotlight as of late were from the UK, and we won’t be seeing UK stars on NXT TV in the States for a while now, it seems.
Undisputed ERA is an option, but even in a crowdless era, heel vs. heel isn’t quite the most ideal option in this case. But with ERA feuding with Dexter Lumis, it opens the door for Lumis to insert himself into the tag team picture just to spite UE. His partner? Dominik Dijakovic. Just because … what else is he gonna do?
Timothy Thatcher vs. Matt Riddle – Submission Match
So a lot happened on last Wednesday’s episode of NXT, huh? After agreeing to be goofy Matt Riddle’s temporary replacement partner for Pete Dunne (he’s stuck quarantined in the United Kingdom at the moment) about two weeks ago, two weeks later Thatcher turned his back on Riddle for being too goofy. And that was just how the show started!
By night’s end, Matt Riddle vs. Timothy Thatcher was already booked for the night’s main event and thanks to a roll up, Riddle picked up the victory. Although, the victory itself was bittersweet as almost immediately after getting pinned, Thatcher locked in an armbar on Riddle, forcing everyone’s favorite Bro to tap out just for the heck of it.
This seems to be setting the stage for a TakeOver rematch, most likely with a Submission Match stipulation attached.
