WWE: 5 Heel and Face Turns We Should Expect in 2020
By Mark Justice
3.) Aleister Black: Turn Heel
Aleister Black uses his dark powers and fancy pro wrestling skills to win his matches on a consistent basis. Some may ask: Why is Aleister Black even a babyface? He is not inspirational, funny, or revered by any means. He is just winning matches on a weekly basis and there is not that much else to his character development.
Since he is not a characteristic babyface, a heel turn should be in store for Aleister Black. Maybe losing a big championship match or any high-stake grudge match could impel his heel turn. He is currently in a feud with Seth Rollins and his disciples, Buddy Murphy and Austin Theory. If he can’t beat Rollins, he should join him.
It wouldn’t be the first time Rollins offered Black to join his faction. On the Mar. 9, 2020 episode of Monday Night Raw, Rollins offered Black to join him. However, Black declined the offer, remained babyface, and instead wrestled him in a match later that night.
Many critics may view this booking decision as fair since Black should not be a sidekick or follower on a faction and instead remain a solitary character who leads his own path to stardom. However, the point of a heel turn is to leave a bad taste in the audience’s mouths, so putting Black in a faction is the perfect way to execute his heel turn in 2020.
