Casino Ladder Match (Winner gets a future AEW World Championship Match)

Darby Allin vs. Colt Cabana vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Rey Fenix vs. Scorpio Sky vs. Kip Sabian vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Luchasaurus vs. TBA

Bryan Heaton: My heart says Orange Cassidy, but he works better as a side player and not the main event — although seeing heads explode at “Orange Cassidy, AEW World Champion” is appealing. (OC also has a history of not knowing how ladder matches work, and he doesn’t strike me as someone who would do a whole lot of research.)

My gut says the mystery entrant could be a potential victor, but since it’s a mystery it’s too risky a pick. So I’ll stick with my head, and say Darby Allin seems like the most likely future world champ of the current field.

Chris Jeter: This comes across as mix of WWE’s Money in the Bank ladder match and TNA’s King of the Mountain match (with less stupid rules). The tidbit about the participants being able to win before the entire field comes out should keep the viewers engaged throughout (instead of sitting on their hands knowing the finish won’t come anytime soon).

As for who wins, well, any one of these guys could realistically get a one-off title shot, so it’s a bit of a crapshoot in that sense. Eh, I’ll go with my heart and pick Scorpio Sky.

Samantha Schipman: This is the match I’m really looking forward to the most. I like all the participants that we know of so far. It’s fun guessing who the mystery person is. I’d love for it to be SUGE D! Drew Gulak has been guessed too, but I think a mystery person was chosen prior to the Gulak situation.

I’ve also seen Brian Cage’s name mentioned a lot. He’s been rumored to AEW for a while, so I could see him debuting, although a ladder match doesn’t seem logical. It’s very possible the surprise entrant wins.

But If I’m going based off of who has been announced, then my pick is Scorpio Sky. He also had some singles run momentum at the end of 2019. I’ve said several times that Sky will be AEW World Champion within the next two years. Winning this match would give him the momentum back.

Jesse Velasquez: This is the obvious choice for most exciting bout of the night. You have combustible elements all being thrown together to create a beautiful concoction of a ladder match. Look for amazing highspots, a quick pace and some surprises.

AEW does a wonderful job of protecting debuts from being revealed before a PPV. My choice is Brian Cage with Wardlow being the other possibility for the ninth man. As for your winner, most of these guys are worthy of a big time title match. I’ll go with Luchasaurus.
