Brian Cage

The last time we heard anything about the former Impact World Champion was earlier this year back in January when we learned that Cage was jumping ship from Impact Wrestling to All Elite Wrestling. Granted, Cage himself never confirmed it to be true, but the rumor mill was hot for that one with all signs pointing to Cage becoming All Elite.

Unfortunately, he did so in the midst of a serious injury that has kept him out of action for months now.

Beyond Cage saying that he’d have to take some time off for surgery, there was never a clear timetable given as far as how long Cage could be out of action. But let’s assume that this torn bicep only takes less than six months to recover from (which sounds about right; mild to serious bicep tears seem to take two to five months worth of recovery time, on average).

Which would mean that by time Double or Nothing airs tomorrow, Cage could be nearing the four to five month mark. Having a Machine like him just wreck havoc on everyone in sight with a limitless supply of ladders at his possession (whether he wins or not) should be a good way to welcome him to AEW audiences.
