Asuka (c) (w/Kairi Sane) vs. Nia Jax [Raw Women’s Championship]

After Becky Lynch relinquished the Raw Women’s Championship to Asuka, Asuka decided to have a championship celebration on last week’s Raw and Nia Jax crashed the party. Clearly, Jax is being built up for a Raw Women’s Championship opportunity against Asuka at WWE Backlash 2020.

She is currently scheduled for a questionable number one contender’s match against Natalya and NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match. She will obviously win that match by pinning Natalya to become the number one contender. However, that is as far as she will go because Asuka is definitely retaining the Raw Women’s Championship against Jax.

After being handed the holy grail, Asuka must retain the Raw Women’s Championship for three reasons: (1) solidify her babyface turn, (2) get revenge for her tag partner, Kairi Sane, after what Jax has been doing to her in the past few months, and (3) be the honorable and valiant warrior that Becky Lynch entrusted her to be.

Prediction: Asuka

Bayley (c) vs. Dana Brooke [SmackDown Women’s Championship]

While Bayley and Sasha Banks continue building up tension for their eventual SmackDown Women’s Championship match, Bayley will also have to focus on retaining her championship until that moment finally comes. Dana Brooke defeated Naomi on last week’s Friday Night SmackDown and seems to be next in line for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Defeating a former SmackDown Women’s Champion is no joke, and Brooke even called Bayley out in her backstage interview. The intentions for Dana Brooke to battle Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE Backlash 2020 seem clear enough.

Unfortunately, for Brooke, she has as much of a chance at dethroning Bayley as the New York Mets have a chance at winning another World Series. If anyone remembers their 2015 fiasco against the Kansas City Royals, it is easy to notice that Dana Brooke has no chance in hell of dethroning Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Clearly, Bayley’s ultimate opponent will be Banks so this should be an easily predictable retention for the greatest SmackDown Women’s Champion in history. Just like she did against Charlotte on last week’s Friday Night SmackDown, she will defeat Dana Brooke without Sasha Banks’ help at ringside to show the sheep that she is an independent and worthy champion.

Prediction: Bayley
