Mania Loss Was A Mistake

In her first WrestleMania outing, Rhea Ripley walked into the show with a special, one of a kind aura to her that yielded the confidence of an alpha head honcho. For someone who’s technically still a rookie, Ripley was presented like a big time player despite only having under five years worth of wrestling experience.

Coming out of Mania, that aura has felt diminished, yet alone she walked out minus a belt. That big time feeling is gone and it feels like Ripley lost what made her special. Not to say that it was only the title that made her special, but more so that she felt less unstoppable once she was stopped by her biggest challenge yet.

The large crux of the Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley feud heading into Mania was Charlotte saying Ripley wasn’t ready for the big leagues and she needed to beat The Queen (wooooooo) to be The Queen. And she failed to beat The Queen. It’s no surprise that Ripley came out looking all the worse for it.

But perhaps winning back the title could give Ripley the hard reset she needs. The Mania loss was bad enough for her character. It’ll be even worse to see her come at The Queen twice and miss both times.
