Tease Their Feud

Let’s face it, WWE fans are foaming at the mouth for a Bayley vs. Sasha Banks program at this point. We’ve wanted one for a while now, and since Creative massively dropped the ball on this in 2018, recent subtle teasing has the WWE Universe wanting this even more now.

How could the WWE Women’s Tag Titles help to playfully enhance a presumed rivalry between these two besties that have been through thick and thin together? I mean, wouldn’t it make more sense if Bayley and Sasha lost on Friday, creating conflict between their friendship, and launching a feud right now?

It could, but I believe things like BFFs breaking up in the land of the WWE are better done slowly and delicately. One can only point to the best WWE BFF breakup of all time, looking at you the Rockers, to know that subtle teases turn into not-so-subtle teases, until the fans can feel the animosity brewing between these wrestlers, in their own bones, until a fire is shot, and a friendship dies. So, why not have a storyline within a storyline?

That is, create a program between Bliss/Cross and Bayley/Banks, where the titles are of focus, with Banks and Bay champions, and where Bayley continues to feed the potential flames of dissension through boast, which is sure to get under the Boss’ skin.

Bayley could go off on being the Champ Champ, a second-time Triple Crown Champion, the best SmackDown Women’s Champion of all time (yada, yada, yada); the matches could go down as Banks being the one to win everything, even saving Bayley (saving their tag title reign), with Bayley being the egocentric partner that boasts just one too many times.
