Fans can’t wait for the adorable AEW Puppy Battle Royale
AEW continues to make history with the groundbreaking announcement that next week we’ll get the first-ever AEW Puppy Battle Royale after Fyter Fest!
AEW Fyter Fest next week will include big matches like Jon Moxley defending the AEW World Championship against Brian Cage and Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy, but it’s what comes after Fyter Fest that has fans buzzing.
AEW announced tonight during night one of Fyter Fest on AEW Dynamite that we’ll see the first-ever AEW Puppy Battle Royale next week on TNT airing immediately following Fyter Fest.
The inaugural AEW Puppy Battle Royale, inspired by the Super Bowl-adjacent Puppy Bowl, has already seen some loud and excited reactions from Twitter. Fans are chomping at the bit to see what this adorable event will bring us.

Fans are even ready to nominate their own puppers and doggos to compete next week, and the potential contenders are looking very impressive.
Norm, who fights dirty and was clearly inspired by wrestling legends such as Ric Flair and Toru Yano, looks like a potential favorite if he’s given the opportunity to compete. Don’t be fooled by this traditional “playing possum” stance, because Norm is a force to be reckoned with once he lashes out.

If we want to see a traditional David vs. Goliath kind of contest, Hulk looks like he would be an absolute beast inside the squared circle. Smaller competitors like Norm would have to execute every trick in the book to overcome Hulk’s sheer power.
I’m sure in the coming week we’ll be seeing more contenders emerge, with every puppy trying to stake their claim to victory in this magnificent event. There’s no bigger event in puppy wrestling than the AEW Puppy Battle Royale, and so every canine has got to be chomping at the bit to get involved.
It’s not clear how long this event will go, probably because of the sheer unpredictability of the competitors. After we get through the obligatory supposed main event where Jon Moxley defends the AEW World Championship against Brian Cage, the real main event will arrive next week in the AEW Puppy Battle Royale.
