Candice LeRae vs. Mia Yim is going to be exceptional

Candice LeRae didn’t last long in the No. 1 Contender’s match for Io Shirai’s NXT Title, as she was the first to be eliminated when Tegan Nox and Mia Yim focused their attack on her. Yim and LeRae have been rivals for weeks now, and the two will have a Street Fight on Night 2 of NXT Great American Bash after LeRae brawled with Yim after the match out of frustration.

The match between LeRae and Yim will be one worth watching closely, because the winner could also have a case to face Shirai despite losing the No. 1 Contender’s match. Tegan Nox will already be a (likely) babyface challenger for Shirai after winning, but LeRae and Yim are in the picture and show just how talented this division is.

Tegan Nox was a surprising but strong pick

Most NXT fans expected Dakota Kai to face Io Shirai for the NXT Women’s Title by winning the No. 1 Contender’s match on Night 1 of NXT Great American Bash. Kai looked good in the match and seemed to have the most momentum again, but she ultimately fell at the end, suffering an elimination at the hands of rival Tegan Nox’s shiniest wizard.

Nox was an upset victor, but WWE fans are excited to see what she can do in a title match with Shirai. She shined brightly in the Four-Way Elimination Match, and as long as she is allowed to sell sufficiently, she and Shirai should have a great match.
