Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville [Grudge Match]

Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville had already battled on the May 8, 2020, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which Sonya Deville won. However, their rivalry will have more fire and desire if it culminates on PPV. Henceforth, they should squash the beef at WWE SummerSlam 2020, where Mandy Rose can get some babyface comeuppance.

This should set her up for a SmackDown Women’s Championship opportunity in the near future, but Deville deserves the opportunity as well. Ironically, despite Bayley claiming that she has defeated everyone in the SmackDown Women’s Division, neither Rose nor Deville have received a title opportunity against her.

A triple threat match featuring Bayley, Rose, and Deville would be a money match to run with post-SummerSlam. The rifts drawn in the friendship between Rose and Deville might remind Bayley of the cracks in her friendship with Sasha Banks, further teasing her long-term feud with Banks on the road to their big championship match.

Prediction: Mandy Rose

Charlotte Flair vs. Nia Jax [Grudge Match]

Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax had a tense encounter before Flair was written off television due to a worked collarbone fracture. She will reportedly undergo surgery and be missing in action for an extended period of time. Assuming that the rumors of Flair returning by SummerSlam season are true, she will evidently battle Nia Jax as a babyface.

A break from the WWE fanbase was necessary for the fans to miss Flair and appreciate her presence once she returns with fresh ideas for her character. It would be disingenuous to neglect how exposed and repetitive her character can be, so a babyface comeback could work for Flair as she aims to get her comeuppance against one of the top heels on Raw, Nia Jax.

This inevitable victory would set up Flair for another Raw Women’s Championship opportunity (note: it’s inevitable because she never loses at SummerSlam). However, the WWE should stretch out this feud between Flair and Jax to build up Flair’s popularity against Jax, whom the WWE Universe would not root for due to her impactful heel heat and ‘go away heat’ in recent months.

Prediction: Charlotte Flair
