Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus [Grudge Match]

Jeff Hardy and Sheamus’ rivalry has been ‘piss’ poor but it seems to be an indirect means of pushing Jeff Hardy as a top star on SmackDown with Sheamus as the stepping stone. At WWE Backlash 2020, Sheamus defeated Hardy. Henceforth, Hardy should defeat Sheamus at both WWE Extreme Rules and WWE SummerSlam 2020 to win the trilogy.

This victory should set Hardy up for either an Intercontinental Championship opportunity against AJ Styles, which was taken away from him during the fraudulent IC Title Tournament, or a Universal Championship opportunity against Bray Wyatt, which would be in sync with Hardy’s reported aspirations to have one more world title run and a cinematic match with Wyatt.

Prediction: Jeff Hardy

Brock Lesnar (w/Paul Heyman) vs. Bobby Lashley (w/MVP) [Steel Cage Match]

In response to recent rumors, Brock Lesnar should stay away from WWE Champion Drew McIntyre at this year’s SummerSlam event. Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley has been a dream feud for far too long, and it needs to happen as soon as possible.

These two superstars have the MMA tools to decimate the living hell out of each other, especially in a cage match that resonates with the UFC atmosphere. They should even do a weigh-in to make their SummerSlam match seem more legit.

Since Lesnar lost to McIntyre at WrestleMania 36, it is unlikely that he will lose again at SummerSlam. Nonetheless, it will be a bloodbath worth watching because it will be a bare-fist brawl, rather than a regular wrestling match.

Prediction: Brock Lesnar
