Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Championship

I’m going to roll with what my esteemed colleague Mark Justice predicted and say that Dolph Ziggler is going to ban the Claymore Kick as the stipulation of choice. It’s going to lead to McIntyre pulling out all the stops to take down Ziggler, who still has the resiliency in him. He may be a heel, but the traits that carried him as a babyface are still a part of his character as a heel.

Ziggler vs. McIntyre is admittedly hard for me to get invested in, even as a recovering Ziggler mark. But I think when the bell is rung and the lights are on, these two put on a show. They won’t steal the show from Asuka and Sasha Banks, but Ziggler selling for McIntyre is always a treat.

Yes, of course McIntyre is winning. This match and Orton vs. Show would be the most predictable on the card.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre

Bray Wyatt vs. Braun Strowman in a Wyatt Swamp Fight

I’m very much into the character work in this rivalry between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt, and I think Strowman has stepped it up over the past several weeks in this feud. The Universal Title won’t be on the line, and I assume that’s because The Fiend will finally win it back at SummerSlam to end Strowman’s reign, which was really supposed to be a holdover run.

All bets are off for what will happen in the Strowman vs. Wyatt match, but it will reportedly be similar to the Firefly Fun House, albeit with more action since people backstage felt that was missing from the WrestleMania 36 “match” between Wyatt and John Cena.

Aside from Sasha Banks vs. Asuka, this is the match people are most curious to watch at WWE Extreme Rules 2020, but it has massive boom-or-bust potential.

Weirdly, I don’t think we’ll get a conclusive “winner” in this cinematic match, but it’ll be Wyatt “standing tall” in the end as The Fiend.

Prediction: Bray Wyatt as The Fiend
