WWE: 3 Possible Farewell Matches for Kairi Sane

1.) Asuka
As mentioned earlier, Kairi Sane’s main roster success was defined by her tag team accomplishments with Asuka. However, she took the back seat in 2020 while Asuka moved on to win the MITB contract and immediately the Raw Women’s Championship, which Becky Lynch bestowed upon her in an honorable fashion before leaving to fulfill her duties as a mother. The most ideal farewell match for Sane would be against Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship.
Since Asuka is already occupied with Sasha Banks at WWE Extreme Rules 2020, WWE SummerSlam 2020 would be a good stage for this championship match. There’s no need to turn either superstar heel because they are two babyface superstars who have the utmost respect from each other due to their tag team history. This would also be a dream match in the making since the Kabuki Warriors have never battled one-on-one in the WWE.

Just like babyface and then-WWE Champion John Cena did for fellow babyface Daniel Bryan at WWE SummerSlam 2013, Asuka should select Kairi Sane as her opponent at WWE SummerSlam 2020. Although some naysayers may want Sane to win a number one contender’s match to earn her championship opportunity, this farewell storyline would be more emotionally investing if Asuka selected Sane out of respect for their past work together as a tag team for two years.
