2.) Asuka needs to lose the title to retire Kairi Sane once and for all

Although it would be nice to see Kairi walk out of WWE with the Raw Women’s Championship after dethroning Asuka at SummerSlam (like CM Punk did with the WWE Title after dethroning John Cena at WWE MITB 2011), it would be more unpredictable as to who the victor would be if Kairi Sane retired in a non-title match. Henceforth, Asuka should lose the title to Sasha Banks at WWE Extreme Rules 2020 so that she can retire Kairi Sane at WWE SummerSlam 2020.

Of course, the stakes would be higher and the match would be more exciting if it were a championship match. However, many WWE fans would go into that match, knowing that Sane would lose simply because there’s no chance in hell she will win the Raw Women’s Championship and leave the company the night after. With Asuka and Sane’s farewell match being a non-title match, there’s a slight chance Sane could leave WWE as a winner.

Despite the tradition being that a superstar must make their departure on their back, anything can happen in the WWE. Nonetheless, there’s a higher probability that Asuka defeats Sane and moves on to make an attempt at winning her championship back from Banks down the line. As for Banks’ road to SummerSlam, there are aspirations that have the aforementioned underhanded implications for her long-term friendship with SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley.
