She’s got something to prove

Deonna Purrazzo made an immediate impact on Tuesday nights when she debuted on Impact Wrestling shortly after being released from WWE by attacking the current knockouts champion and her opponent for Slammiversary Jordynne Grace.

Deonna’s time in WWE was… inconsistent at best. Because of her inconsistent booking and long breaks from being featured on television as a member of the NXT brand many fans have forgotten just how talented Deonna really is.

We have been given small tastes so far of her in-ring skills from her attack on the champion to her absolutely dominant in-ring debut against Alisha Edwards where she tapped her out in just 3 minutes.

Purrazzo’s got a chip on her shoulder and a pang of hunger deep in her soul. She needs the wrestling world at large to know that WWE made a mistake by treating her like a small-time talent and she needs to prove to Impact Wrestling that they’ve done the right thing by trusting her with the incredibly strong position that they have put her in.

The only way to prove to herself and to the wrestling world at large that she has been severely undervalued so far in her career, in her own mind, is to walk out of Slammiversary with the Knockouts title.
