Braun Strowman vs. Bray Wyatt

Whereas Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre at WWE Extreme Rules 2020 carries an unknown stipulation, the match between Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman is being branded as a Wyatt Swamp Fight. Another difference between these two matches? This one isn’t actually for the world title, which means it probably isn’t an actual match.

Also, what exactly is a Wyatt Swamp Fight? Sportskeeda’s Tom Colohue reported that WWE management thought there was something missing from the acclaimed Firefly Funhouse match between Bray Wyatt and John Cena at WrestleMania 36, so this Wyatt Swamp Fight will be like that “match” but with more physical stuff happening than Cena vs. Wyatt.

But since it’s a cinematic match with similarities to the Cena and Wyatt match and doesn’t have a title on the line, it all favors Wyatt “winning” this match by doing something nefarious to Strowman. We’re also waiting for The Fiend to make his return.

WWE used an action-packed cinematic match to close the first night of WrestleMania, and fans absolutely loved what The Undertaker and AJ Styles did. It seems less jarring to close out a show with a cinematic match, and because so much intrigue and so many cliff-hanging questions can be thrown up into the air by the finish of this match, it stands a great chance of closing the Pay Per View. It is, after all, THE Horror Show within the Horror Show.
