Sasha Banks and Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

Result: Bayley rolls up Nikki Cross

Grade: A, Another excellent tag match featuring Sasha Banks and Bayley. Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss were as good as usual, and Banks and Bayley are simply untouchable right now. Their intensity and heel work are top-notch.

Before the match could get underway, the WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion was attacked from behind by Nikki Cross, who was itching to get her hands on Bayley after playing mindgames with the Women’s Tag Team Champion on Monday Night Raw during The Golden Role Model’s excellent main event match with Asuka.

Banks and Cross started the match, with Cross immediately charging at The Boss. Of course, The Boss didn’t take well to that, shoving Cross to the ground and hitting her with fists, going for a quick pin attempt. She was IRATE at Cross for that attack from behind before the match, and then she gave Bayley a chance to hurt her future Extreme Rules opponent.

Bayley’s moves were so smooth, but Cross was able to get the Golden Role Model into the apron after she took a little too long gloating (again). Alexa Bliss then came in and hit her fake-out punch on the SmackDown Women’s Champion, but Bayle was able to turn the tables before bringing in Alexa’s old rival Sasha.

Cross and Bliss isolated Sasha, with The Boss selling excellently. Bayley saved her from a dive, and while they were yelling at Michael Cole, Cross started dancing around with Bayley’s title as mindgames before the PPV. And then she hit a diving crossbody on Bayley off the announce desk!

I audibly laughed when Bayley cackled, “That was a tribute to my friend Stone Cold Steve Austin!”

Bayley spent a little too much time preoccupied with the official and Corey Graves’ criticisms, but the heels were still able to keep Alexa isolated from Cross, who was itching for the hot tag and a chance to punish her Extreme Rules rival.

Cross came in and was all kinds of fired up, hitting Sasha with a running bulldog and then running Banks head-first into the turnbuckle. She was unstoppable! Bayley tagged in and nearly pinned Cross by surprise with a jackknife cover.

Bayley managed to grab the win and pin Cross in the tag match ahead of Extreme Rules, as Bayley and Banks celebrated outside the ring.
