Penelope Ford

There probably hasn’t been a faster-rising star in the AEW Women’s Division this year than Penelope Ford, who put on two absolute bangers on major shows against Kris Statlander in a non-title match at Double or Nothing and then Hikaru Shida at Fyter Fest Night 1.

Ford’s athletic ability sets her apart from so many other women in the division, as he’s so agile and strong. She is able to hit great bridging suplexes and acrobatic moves, constantly leaving her opponents guessing. When looking at what she brings to the table in the ring, she’s the type of dynamic opponents nobody wants to face.

While Ford couldn’t quite beat Shida at Fyter Fest, she provided Shida with a stiff test of her abilities as champion early in her reign. The fight Ford brought to Shida was impressive and probably took the champion by surprise, meaning there’s a chance she either wins the title in a second attempt or eventually wins it off someone else. In that match, Ford showed she has the quality to beat the best and be crowned as the best.

Ford has always been one of the best managers in wrestling, whether it was helping Joey Janela or, now, Kip Sabian. But she’s even better in the ring. Hopefully, we get to hear more promos from Ford, too, because she, like the other wrestlers on this list, has the charisma of a champion.
