Not disappointed in great tag match

I know many fans were expecting Alexa Bliss’ guest on a Moment of Bliss to be a legendary wrestler like Mickie James or Stephanie McMahon to announce the highly-anticipated Evolution 2 again. Instead, Sasha Banks and Bayley interrupted Nikki Cross, who showed some more great character work when she thought she was the guest, and Bliss before the planned guest came out.

The planned guest was Asuka, who is the Raw Women’s Champion and will have a huge title defense on Sunday night against the best in the business, Sasha Banks. So while I understand why some fans were disappointed and felt angry with WWE that they could conceivably be disappointed with Asuka on their screen, I didn’t feel the same way.

Because at the end of the day, in kayfabe, is there a bigger guest than a champion from another brand? And more importantly, we got another great tag match out of it. Sasha Banks and Bayley, as the incredibly dominant tag champions they are, were never going to lose to a one-off team in Nikki Cross and Asuka.

The match itself was incredible, and while Cross took another pin, we got some great moments out of the bout, including Cross and Asuka dancing together on the announce table. I enjoyed the wholesome fun.
