3.) Apollo Crews (c) vs. Bobby Lashley [United States Championship]

Over the last few weeks of WWE Raw, MVP has established himself as the new United States Champion in Apollo Crews’ absence. Thanks to the new design, it seems as if MVP has a solid chance at defeating Crews at WWE Extreme Rules 2020, but that would be a reprehensible booking decision since there is a discernible predilection for Crews as the United States Champion as well as a foreshadowing end to his reign at the hands of MVP’s client, Bobby Lashley.

On this week’s WWE Raw, Bobby Lashley will either be gradually built up for an upcoming United States Championship opportunity against Crews at WWE SummerSlam 2020 or instantly be rewarded with that opportunity on that night. Assuming that the latter happens, Lashley would undoubtedly win dethrone Crews as a consolation prize for his failure to capture the WWE Championship from Drew McIntyre at WWE Backlash 2020.

This booking decision will either set up a championship rematch for SummerSlam or open up the field for more babyface challengers to target Lashley for the title at the ‘biggest event of the summer.’ Despite the aforementioned predilections, Crews’ absence from Raw as United States Champion has diminished his reign to a certain extent. As a babyface mid-card champion, the fans would want a fighting champion every week, so this sudden absence could be management’s underhanded way of unfortunately planting the seeds for the end of his reign.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley
