Adam Cole

Let’s start with an unlikely rival who would bring Drew McIntyre’s latest chapter in WWE full circle. McIntyre’s first title match in his second stint with the company came at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III when he defeated the odious Bobby Roode in the PPV’s main event.

But afterwards, Adam Cole stole McIntyre’s big moment, working with ReDragon to stomp out McIntyre and claim that night as the coming of the Undisputed Era. And in 2020, it would be Cole who broke the record as the longest-reigning NXT Champion in history. Whereas McIntyre’s babyface run as champion ended with an injurious loss to Andrade “Cien” Almas.

Cole is in a spot where he could be called up for WWE SummerSlam 2020 either before or after the show, since he finally dropped the NXT Title to new Black and Gold Brand top star Keith Lee. Randy Orton wants to work with Cole, but if Orton calls out someone else on this episode of Raw, then it could free up Cole to work with someone else.

The charismatic Cole is so good that he can believably feud for the title in his first Pay Per View match on the main roster. He won’t win, but a match with McIntyre can be a big test for the heel leader of the Undisputed Era. Surely, Cole would pass it with ease.
