Apollo needs the win more

If MVP loses this United States Championship match, the Hurt Business will be fine. MVP is an amazing manager and can still go in the ring, but his main asset to the faction is as the spokesperson and the architect of their plot to rule Raw. With two world championship-level wrestlers in Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, the Hurt Business will be fine and can stay in the main event scene, even if MVP can’t win at WWE SummerSlam 2020.

But if Apollo Crews loses, it feels like he’s back to square one. When Apollo won the United States Championship on Raw, wrestling fans were overjoyed. They have been rooting for Crews to win a title for at least a year, as wrestling fans have noticed how great Apollo is in the ring and see how easy it is to get behind him when he speaks.

Crews can be a great babyface champion on Raw, and WWE needs to invest in new stars. Apollo has all the tools in and out of the ring to be a key member of the roster, but he’d lose a lot of momentum en route to becoming a bigger player on the show if he cannot defeat a veteran wrestler in MVP.

It’s so important, now more than ever, for WWE to get behind Apollo. The fans are ready for him to have a great reign as the United States Champion, and SummerSlam could be another big moment for the former NXT star.
