Before MVP challenged Apollo Crews to a United States Championship rematch at WWE SummerSlam 2020, Shelton Benjamin whispered something in his ear and MVP glanced at Bobby Lashley after hearing what Benjamin had to say. This is definitely a subtle moment that should not be overlooked in this storyline because it could have something to do with Lashley, who just happens to be the CEO of the Hurt Business.

Remember the scheduled match between R-Truth and MVP at WWE MITB 2020? MVP tricked R-Truth into thinking that he was going to wrestle him, but he quickly announced that R-Truth will be wrestling Bobby Lashley instead to catch R-Truth off guard. It is highly probable that MVP will implement this trick once again at WWE SummerSlam 2020 in his upcoming United States Championship match against Apollo Crews.

Not only was Apollo Crews vs. MVP supposed to happen at WWE Extreme Rules 2020 but it would also be criminal to leave Lashley off the SummerSlam card this year. MVP is supposed to be the manager and Lashley is supposed to be his client. MVP’s job is to set up title matches for his clients, so having Lashley replace him and dethrone Crews at SummerSlam would be best for business….best for Hurt Business.
