Shelton Benjamin defeated Apollo Crews in a non-title match. Since Benjamin pinned the champion, he deserves a title opportunity. Although Apollo Crews is scheduled to defend the United States Championship against MVP at WWE SummerSlam, it would be sensible booking for Crews to defend the title against Benjamin on this episode.

On this week’s WWE Raw, Apollo Crews will retain the United States Championships against Benjamin to gain the momentum he needs for his inevitable title match against MVP at WWE SummerSlam 2020. After defeating Benjamin on this episode of Raw and defeating MVP at SummerSlam, Bobby Lashley will be waiting for Crews at WWE Payback 2020.

2.) Asuka vs. Bayley and Sasha Banks [Handicap Match]

Asuka defeated Bayley to earn a shot at Sasha Banks’ Raw Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam 2020. Also, on last week’s WWE SmackDown, Asuka won the triple brand battle royal to earn a shot at Bayley’s SmackDown Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam 2020.

On this week’s Raw, Asuka will lose in a handicap match to Bayley and Sasha Banks. When there was a booking problem during the Authority Era in 2013-2014, they would just stick the babyface in a handicap match against the heels so that the babyface can attempt to defy the odds. Although this booking strategy lacks creativity, it works here.

She has to battle both of them at SummerSlam anyways, so she might as well prepare herself by partaking in this handicap match. Since Bayley and Sasha Banks are tag team champs and the top champs in the WWE, they would not lose to one superstar. That would be embarrassing, so Bayley and Sasha Banks will win here or force a disqualification to protect Asuka.
