Dominik needs to kick off his wrestling career with a win.

A few weeks ago Dominik Mysterio was swinging around kendo sticks, but more recently the WWE Universe witnessed him take a savage kendo stick beating of his own this past Monday night, on Raw at the hands of the Monday Night Messiah and his disciple, Murphy.  Even with all these kendo sticks flying around, Dominik has never had an official match in the WWE, which will all change at SummerSlam when he wrestles the Monday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins.

If for nothing more than his pride and to ensure that he starts off on a good foot within the WWE roster, Dominik must beat Seth at SummerSlam. It’s imperative to make a statement in this matchup, because how one fares in their debut match tends to correlate with how well one will fare overall within the WWE.

With Dominik being the son of a soon to be Hall of Famer, Rey Mysterio, he has some massive shoes to fill in continuing his family legacy and also proving the naysayers wrong in the presumption that Dominik was simply handed this opportunity thanks to family ties.

One has got to admit that this will be an impressive showing even if the WWE Universe doesn’t know how Dominik will perform, because Seth has shown time and time again, that he is an outstanding performer. Dominik cannot debut green if he has any chance at beating Rollins to start off his WWE career with a  1-0 record.

Debuting against such a successful superstar in the Monday Night Messiah, who has had 14 combined title reigns, and managing to defeat him, will send a direct statement to the locker room. A statement that the Mysterio family is not one to be messed with, and that Dominik has arrived, and is here to stay.
