NXT TakeOver XXX Predictions: Keith Lee Will Bask In His Demise

NXT TakeOver XXX will take place on August 22 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT live on the WWE Network.
Albeit the weekly shows are a mix of hotshot booking and contrived storylines, the card has shaped up quite nicely thus far with some exciting championship matches and a questionably booked grudge match between Adam Cole and Pat McAfee. With that being said, the following will preview and predict the matches that will take place on this weekend’s NXT TakeOver XXX card.
Santos Escobar (c) vs. Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott [NXT Cruiserweight Championship]
On this week’s WWE NXT, Legado Del Fantasma is scheduled to battle Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott and Breezango in a six-man tag team match. This match was probably booked to give Scott the momentum he needs before battling Santos Escobar for the NXT Cruiserweight Championship. Assuming Scott pins Escobar in that six-man tag team match, he would be considered for a championship opportunity at NXT TakeOver XXX.
The real NXT Cruiserweight Champion, Jordan Devlin, had pinned Scott in a fatal four-way match to win the Cruiserweight Championship. It would be foreshadowing if Scott won the Cruiserweight Championship in order to battle Devlin one-on-one upon his return. However, Scott’s momentum has been too lackluster to warrant a championship victory at this point in time. Santos Escobar’s first title defense will be undoubtedly successful.
Prediction: Santos Escobar
