NXT TakeOver XXX Predictions: Keith Lee Will Bask In His Demise

Rhea Ripley vs. Mercedes Martinez [Grudge Match]

On last week’s WWE NXT, Mercedes Martinez cost Rhea Ripley an NXT Women’s Championship opportunity when she blindsided her during her number one contender’s match with Dakota Kai. This attack was a means of getting payback for the Robert Stone Brand, who had some unfinished business with Ripley from last month’s Great American Bash.

It would make sense for the heel, Martinez, to defeat a former babyface NXT Women’s Champion and propel herself into the title picture with the current babyface NXT Women’s Champion, Io Shirai. However, this is not a number one contender’s match and Ripley needs to regain some momentum after her many losses in the past few months.

Adam Cole vs. Pat McAfee [Grudge Match]

It is incredibly unfair that Pat McAfee is taking a spot on the NXT TakeOver XXX card that could have been earned by an actual wrestler on NXT. Nonetheless, this match has unfortunately already been scheduled to occur at this event due to the arguments these two individuals have had from time to time but more notably on a recent podcast, hosted by McAfee.

If Adam Cole does not win this match, it could be the most embarrassing moment of his career. He is the longest-reigning NXT Champion of all time. He can’t lose to a former football punter who will be wrestling in the WWE ring for the very first time. That booking decision would be completely asinine and irreparable. Adam Cole must win, and that’s undisputed.
