WWE Raw Results and Grades: Retribution makes an impact

Rey Mysterio returns to seek vengeance on Seth Rollins.

With SummerSlam on the horizon, the stakes have never been higher. Retribution makes a devastating move to claim dominion over the red brand while Rey Mysterio returns to confront Seth Rollins.

Shelton Benjamin Vs. Apollo Crews

Grade: B

The first contest of the evening featured Shelton Benjamin against Apollo Crews. Benjamin attempted to capitalize on a weakened Crews by utilizing power moves. Crews took advantage of a distraction from R-Truth to get a quick roll-up victory.

After the contest, the Hurt Business assaulted Crews until Alexander and Ricochet made the save. The group was forced to retreat as Shelton pinned R-Truth for the 24/7 Championship. MVP announced a six man tag elimination match for later in the evening.

Ivar Vs. Angel Garza

Grade: C

Next up was Ivar of the Viking Raiders against Angel Garza. Garza weakened his opponent with headlocks until Ivar initiated a rapid momentum swing. Garza hit a sudden dropkick on Ivar as he re-entered the ring to pick up the win.

Mickie James Vs. Natalya

Grade: C

Mickie James suffered a cheap shot from Lana before having a short burst of energy. Natalya went for a clothesline to leave her and her opponent incapacitated. Mickie suffered yet another distraction and a brutal fall, ultimately failing to answer the 10 count.

Asuka and Shayna Baszler Vs Bayley and Sasha Banks

Grade: B

Bayley and Sasha kept Asuka isolated in their corner until the latter regained control. Meanwhile, Shayna would suffer an unexpected attack from the returning Nia Jax. Asuka attempted to hold her own against the duo with quick moves.

Shayna returned to the contest shortly after to even the odds. She would quickly transition a arm drag into a Kirifuda Clutch to submit Bayley and pick up the win.

Peyton Royce Vs. Ruby Riott

Grade: C

Ruby began the match with a savage series of moves until Peyton countered with a barricade slam. She would reassume control for a short while until a brief altercation allowed Royce to hit the Deja Vu for the win.

Dolph Ziggler Vs. Erik

Grade: B

Dolph Ziggler and Erik rapidly opted for ground moves as they pummeled each other to the ground. After a brief struggle, Ziggler caught Erik in a sudden sleeper hold for the knockout.

Artuos Ruas Vs. Riddick Moss

Grade: D

Ruas came after Moss with several hard strikes until he unleashed his own set of punches. The chaos spilled to the outside as Shane McMahon declared a no contest.

Mustafa Ali, Ricochet, and Apollo Crews Vs. The Hurt Business

Grade: A

Ali and Ricochet maintained quick tags until Bobby Lashley arrived to eliminate the former from the match. Shelton Benjamin entered the match next and quickly disposed of Ricochet. Apollo Crews regained enough momentum to eliminate Shelton from the match.

MVP refused to tag Lashley for a while until Crews took him out. Lashley would finally use a hard lariat to achieve the victory for his team.

Cedric Alexander Vs. Akira Tozawa

Grade: D

Akira Tozawa used his ninjas to momentarily distract his opponent. Cedric Alexander would use the lumbar check to retain his title. Right after the match, Shelton Benjamin hit the Paydirt to regain the 24/7 Championship.

Marina Shafir Vs. Brandi Lauren

Grade: C

Shafir rapidly went after her opponent with strikes before achieving a quick knockout victory. After the match, Nia Jax would attack Shayna Baszler only to escape in a hurry.

Montez Ford Vs. Andrade

Montez Ford commenced the match with vicious strikes and an outside dive. Andrade regained control after a failed top rope maneuver. Ford fought hard with the assistance of Bianca Belair to notch a rollup win.
