The Heartbreak Kid Returns
The year was 1999, and Vince McMahon was involved in a feud with Shawn Michaels while he also had a group named The Corporation to do the work for him, but little did he know that a surprise awaits him on the 4th January episode of Raw. The then-Sheriff Shawn Michaels returned to WWE and ensured that he had the cavalry with him, so he called in his best friends and the controversial yet entertaining groups in the history of the business, D-Generation X.
It was a moment no one saw coming and left the fans wanting more, which kept us on the edge of our seats and glued to the TV screens. If you do have a favourite memory, drop it in the comments.
We Stand United
The heinous and cowardly attacks of 9/11 left the world shocked, and the people of the USA misty-eyed. The man behind this attack got what he deserved, but this SmackDown evening after 9/11 was different than what we had ever witnessed.
It showed up the real characters of the men and women that put their bodies on the line for our entertainment. They also eat, breather, sleep and repeat the red, white and blue of our national flag. Vince McMahon took centre stage and gave us the words that were the most encouraging words we would have heard the WWE Chairman say since we had seen him on television.
Amid all that happened and the loss that we suffered, the show must go on, and in such testing times, We Stand United.
