NXT Takeover XXX Results, Grades: Karrion Kross Indomitably Preyed On Keith Lee

Bronson Reed vs. Damian Priest vs. Cameron Grimes vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Velveteen Dream [NXT North American Championship: Ladder Match]

Result: Damian Priest 

Grade: A-, This ladder match was crazy. It was not just a spot fest. It was a Demolition Derby. It stole the show so far, and there’s hope that Priest’s reign will be durable and impactful.

Velveteen Dream delivered his patented DDTs and Superkicks to start the offense strong. Priest attempted to deliver a Powerbomb but Reed ran in to deliver a powerbomb on both Gargano and Priest as well as a Senton Bomb on Cameron Grimes through the ladder. There was a funny moment, in which Grimes was forced to execute a split off two ladders. Candice LeRae ran in to help Gargano and delivered a Hurricanrana to Cameron Grimes.

However, she was taken out of commission once Reed dived off the ladder with LeRae on his back onto Gargano. There were many spots, in which all the superstars were close to grabbing the championship. Grimes was close to doing so, but Gargano stopped him in his tracks with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb. Dream delivered a Dream Valley Driver to Gargano on top of Priest on a ladder.

Bronson Reed pushed Dream off the top of the ladder. Gargano shoved Reed and Grimes off the ladder and was very close to retrieving the championship, but Damian Priest stopped Gargano in his tracks by grabbing his neck and grabbing onto the title with Gargano. Priest prevailed in the tug of war and he grabbed the title to become the new NXT North American Champion.

Adam Cole vs. Pat McAfee [Grudge Match]

Result: Adam Cole (via pinfall)

Grade: B-, This match was better than expected for a football player. Nice touch by Adam Cole to save the Last Shot for a real wrestler and end McAfee with the Panama Sunrise instead.

Pat McAfee delivered a picture perfect SuperPlex from the top rope to Adam Cole. Cole regained his offense with a Figure Four Leglock, but McAfee made it to the ropes. McAfee delivered a low blow and punt for the nearfall. McAfee attempted to deliver a maneuver from the top rope, but Cole countered with a mid air superkick. Cole delivered a Panama Sunrise to McAfee for the three count and the victory.
