NXT Takeover XXX Results, Grades: Karrion Kross Indomitably Preyed On Keith Lee

Result: Io Shirai (via pinfall)

Grade: A-, Great match. Kai is one of the best sellers in the business and Shirai is an athletically gifted and technically sound performer. It will be interesting to see who Shirai’s next challenger will be, especially with Rhea Ripley lurking in the shadows to reclaim her throne.

Dakota Kai gained early control in this match with her submission, but Shirai rallied back with clotheslines, missile dropkicks, and a 619 for the nearfall. Kai attempted a Helluva Kick, but Shirai countered with three Double Stomps in the corner. Kai delivered a double knees to the spine and an Arm-bar to make Shirai tap out, but Shirai’s resilience prevailed with a foot on the bottom rope. Kai delivered a GTK to finish Shirai off, but Shirai’s foot was on the rope.

Kai delivered a Helluva Kick to the referee. The referee was down as Shirai delivered a German Suplex and a Moonsault but the referee was not up to make the count. Raquel Gonzales took advantage to deliver a powerbomb to Shirai to help Kai win, but Shirai kicked out at two. Shirai delivered a Moonsault to both Gonzales and Kai outside the ring and delivered another Moonsault to Kai in the ring for the three-count and the victory.

Keith Lee (c) vs. Karrion Kross [NXT Championship]

Result:  Karrion Kross (via pinfall)

Grade: B-, This match was very slow paced but these two superstars put in the work. The build up to this match was better than the match itself. So, will Keith Lee get called up to the main roster?

Keith Lee and Karrion Kross collided in this match for the main event. Kross gained early control in this match with plenty submission holds. Lee regained his momentum with his patented powerslams and vertical suplexes for the nearfalls.  Kross regained his momentum with a DDT and a clothesline from hell.

Kross tried to rally but Lee delivered a clothesline of his own at a pivotal point of the match. Kross locked Lee in a Sleeper Hold but Lee didn’t pass out. Lee rallied back with a Spirit Bomb for the nearfall. Kross delivered a Back Suplex from the top rope to pin Lee for the the pinfall and the victory. Kross dethroned Lee to become the new NXT Champion.
