Alexa Bliss made the WWE Universal Title storyline between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt feel like a big deal.

Throughout the summer, Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman have been involved in the men’s world title feud on WWE SmackDown. There were a few high points, but, by and large, fans weren’t invested in the story until Alexa Bliss became involved.

It all started when Bliss showed up as a hologram in the Wyatt Swamp Fight at Extreme Rules, but then it escalated when the Fiend attacked Bliss. Later, though, Bliss stopped the Fiend from attacking with a simple touch. But the biggest part of the storyline before SummerSlam was Strowman hitting Bliss with a shoulder press.

The story of Bliss, Braun, and Bray has taken a backseat after SummerSlam due to Roman Reigns’ return, and Reigns could very well win the Universal Title he never lost at Payback.

So while Alexa’s involvement with Bray, potentially as an accomplice, is a mystery that will have to wait a bit, WWE might not forget about it entirely.

WWE fans are invested in Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt

On an appearance on the Dropkick DiSKussions podcast with Korey Gunz, Sportskeeda reporter Tom Colohue stated that WWE “still want to revisit” this story. Colohue added, via Sportskeeda.com’s Rick Ucchino, that Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt would like to keep the story going after being “so involved” in it.

Fans certainly seemed invested in it. Social media was abuzz after the Fiend attacked Bliss to close an episode of SmackDown, and the intrigue kept on building up until SummerSlam. The segment with Strowman attacking Bliss received four million views on YouTube, and the segment with the Fiend attacking Bliss also received well over three million.

There’s plenty of interest in Wyatt and Bliss, and WWE would be wise to take a look back at this story after the current angle settles itself. Reigns is destined to win the Universal Title, and, right now, he is the biggest part of WWE’s male main event scene.
