WWE Payback 2020 Results, Highlights, Grades: Roman Reigns on top again

Grade: A-, Great match, as expected. It’s saddening to see Bayley and Banks lose the Women’s Tag Team Championships but the long term booking for their eventual rivalry will hopefully have a solid end goal, especially for Banks who lost all of her belts in one week.

Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax dominated Banks and Bayley in the early stages of the match. Nia Jax swung Banks’ head into the barricade and delivered a Samoan Drop to Bayley. She tagged in Baszler, who delivered running knees to both Bayley and Banks. She delivered a Gutrench Powerbomb to both Bayley and Banks.

She tagged in Nia Jax, allowing Jax to deliver a big splash to Bayley and Banks at the corner turnbuckle. Jax attempted the Powerbomb, but Banks made a beautiful counter with the Facebuster to Jax and tagged in Bayley. Bayley delivered the Flying Elbow to Jax, and Banks delivered the Frog Splash to Jax for the nearfall.

Bayley delivered the Bayley to Belly to Baszler while Banks was pinning Jax, but it wasn’t enough to allow Banks to win. Jax tagged in Baszler, who made quick work of Bayley and Banks with the Kirifuda Clutch to make both of them tap. Baszler and Jax are the new Women’s Tag Team Champions. What does this mean for Bayley and Banks?
