Mandy Rose

At WWE SummerSlam 2020, Mandy Rose went up against Sonya Deville in a vicious Loser Leaves WWE Match, and those former best friends gave it everything they had despite the real-world struggles they’d experienced that same week. Sonya Deville came up short, understandable as she likely needs some time off from WWE, but that also means Mandy Rose is coming off of a huge pay-per-view win.

The momentum from that win is more than enough to put Mandy Rose on the path to a future championship match, especially if she were to follow it up with a victory to earn that title shot. Seeing Rose go up against Bayley with Banks and Otis at ringside could be a lot of fun, and help elevate Rose even in a loss while furthering the story between the duo once known as The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection.

Billie Kay

For something completely different, we’ve got Billie Kay of The IIconics who felt a devastating loss this week. The IIconics not only fell to The Riott Squad during the WWE Payback Kickoff Show, but a rematch on WWE Raw came with the stipulation that the losing team would be forced to disband. It’s an odd call for an already thin women’s tag team division, but either way it means new horizons for Kay and Royce.

Moving one of them to SmackDown while the other stays on Raw is the most logical way to enforce the separation, and Peyton Royce made the choice to throw Billie Kay to the wolves after their loss when the duo showed up on Raw Underground. That could signify a face turn for Kay moving forward, and earning a shot at Bayley after arriving on SmackDown could help Kay establish a new persona even in defeat.
