Pentagon Jr.

You could argue that a lot of names in AEW have gone underutilized, but few stand out for that more than Pentagon Jr. At one time, Pentagon seemed to be the hottest name in professional wrestling. While he’s an accomplished tag team wrestler alongside Rey Fenix, which we’ve seen glimpses of in AEW, Pentagon Jr. has proven himself many times before as a singles competitor.

Pentagon Jr. is a 2-time Lucha Underground Champion, Lucha Underground Gift of the Gods Champion, AAA Latin American Champion, 2-time Perros del Mal Light Heavyweight Champion, 2-time PCW Heavyweight Champion, and former Impact World Champion who secured that company’s Match of the Year (vs. Sami Callihan at Slammiversary XVI) and Finisher of the Year in 2018. His success was enough to earn the 28th ranking on the PWI 500 in 2019, but a lackluster past year saw him fall all the way to 74 in this year’s PWI 500.

Whether it’s through his captivating character or his in-ring prowess, Pentagon Jr. has proven himself time and time again but has felt relatively forgotten in AEW. It’s time for that to change, and no moment could remedy this situation quicker than a victory in the Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out 2020.
