Drew McIntyre will put his title on the line at WWE Clash of Champions 2020 against Randy Orton in an Ambulance Match. Here’s why the Viper needs to win.

On Sept. 27, Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton will write the next chapter in their rivalry on Monday Night Raw in an Ambulance Match for the WWE Championship. This match could very well be the main event of WWE Clash of Champions 2020, as no other announced match has been promoted as heavily.

McIntyre defeated Orton at SummerSlam via roll-up, but the Viper attacked him on the next episode of Raw in anger. He received his receipt, in the form of three Claymores to match his three Punt Kicks, leading to him disappearing from television.

Here are three reasons why Orton should get his revenge at Clash of Champions by winning the WWE Championship.

1. Randy Orton has been a highlight of Raw in 2020

Asuka has been the MVP of Raw in 2020, but Randy Orton and Seth Rollins haven’t been far behind as two of the top three heels in WWE after SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley.

Orton produces his finest work as a heel, but sometimes WWE runs into an issue where he’s so good as a heel that he gets too much praise from wrestling fans. After his attacks on legends like Edge and Ric Flair, that hasn’t been an issue at all.

The Viper has been tremendous. His promos contain the exact type of twisted logic all heels should have. We can see where he’s coming from, but his logic is so warped that you know there is something very wrong with the way he sees the world.
