Raw vs. NXT vs. SmackDown [Men’s Survivor Series Match]

"Raw: Drew McIntyre (c), Randy Orton, Dominick Mysterio, Kevin Owens, Aleister Black NXT: Adam Cole (c), Tomasso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, Santos Escobar SmackDown: Braun Strowman (c), AJ Styles, Big E, Sheamus, King Corbin"

The only brand that has never won a Men’s Survivor Series Match is NXT. However, they are still new to the game, so they do not necessarily have to win one just yet. Considering that NXT won Survivor Series last year, they do not need that many big wins this year. Raw and SmackDow still need to prove why they have been on air for over twenty years.

SmackDown won last year’s Men’s Survivor Series Match and it would be nice for Big E to carry the blue brand to victory as the sole survivor this year. However, it would be fitting for Raw get a win back this year while giving Big E the ‘rub’ of sorts for his promising push on the road to WrestleMania. Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton, current rivals, have been the top babyface and heel respectively on Raw, so it would be interesting if they carried their team to victory here.

Prediction: Team Raw (2-2-2)

Sole Survivors: Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton

Keith Lee vs. Finn Balor vs. Roman Reigns [Men’s Championship Brand War]

Remember when Keith Lee got the ‘rub’ from Roman Reigns at last year’s Survivor Series in the Men’s Survivor Series Match? Imagine if Keith Lee won the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat Match against Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton at WWE Hell in a Cell 2020 and battled NXT Champion Finn Balor and Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WWE Survivor Series 2020?

Clearly, since Finn Balor and Roman Reigns recently won their respective championships and have been formidably defending them, it is very unlikely that they will lose those championships by the time Survivor Series comes around. However, WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has held the title since dethroning Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 in April, so it would not be too far fetched to foresee him losing it to Keith Lee before Survivor Series.

Balor recently won the vacant NXT Championship on NXT’s Super Tuesday and will very likely hold the NXT Championship until former NXT Champion Karrion Kross returns from injury, and Reigns won the Universal Championship from Bray Wyatt at WWE Payback 2020, will very likely retain the title against Jey Uso at WWE Clash of Champions 2020, retain against Bray Wyatt at WWE Hell in a Cell 2020, and hold onto the Universal Championship all the way to WrestleMania 37.

Considering that Lee lost the NXT Championship to Karrion Kross before getting called up to the main roster, it would have been even more ideal if Karrion Kross never had to relinquish the NXT Championship. Nonetheless, injuries happen and it would still be solid to close the show with Lee pinning either Reigns or Balor to prove that he is the superior champion and more importantly redeem himself from his Survivor Series loss to Reigns last year.

As a counterargument, Reigns will probably allow Lee and Balor to go to war until he shows up at the last minute to pick up the win, reclaim his yard, and give SmackDown a much needed victory at Survivor Series. Since SmackDown has been the best show in 2020, that would not be a pernicious booking decision by any means.

Next. WWE Clash of Champions: Brock Lesnar will raise hell. dark

However, as a rising star in the main event scene on the flagship show, Lee evidently needs this win more. His victory would be even more impressive if he was the first superstar to neutralize Reigns’ ‘wreck everyone and leave’ tactic, give Raw the win at this year’s Survivor Series, and kickstart his road to WrestleMania as WWE Champion on the right foot.

Prediction: Keith Lee (3-2-2)
