2. Sami Zayn deserves a long title reign

Since making his debut on the main roster in 2016, Sami Zayn has had one title reign, the Intercontinental Championship – after he pinned Braun Strowman in a 3 on 1 Handicap Match at Elimination Chamber earlier this year.

For a man who worked his entire career to make it to the WWE, he deserves more than a two month run with a title – a man of Sami Zayn’s talent should be a multi-time World Champion by now but a combination of bad booking and injuries got in the way of his progress.

WWE Clash of Champions would be the perfect event to give Sami Zayn his second run with the title and he should hold it for a long time, there have been four different champions this year – the longest run being two months. To make the title feel important again, they need to have a long term champion, the Canadian would be perfect in that role.

As a heel champion – programs with the aforementioned Jeff Hardy, Matt Riddle, Jey Uso or Big E would be entertaining and fresh. Most title pictures are better when a babyface is hunting his rival – rather than the other way round, Sami Zayn is the perfect protagonist for whoever his first challenger is.
