Mock 2020 WWE Draft Night Two

Round One: SmackDown picks WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, Raw picks Raw Women’s Champion Asuka, SmackDown picks “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, Raw picks Seth Rollins, Raw picks SmackDown Tag Team Champions Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura, NXT picks Daniel Bryan

Round One Thoughts: Some huge changes here, as SmackDown takes Drew McIntyre to ensure they have a top champion and Raw takes Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura to ensure they have tag team champions. Meanwhile, NXT makes a massive move by taking Daniel Bryan which opens up many dream matches for the brand moving forward.

Round Two: SmackDown picks The New Day, Raw picks Keith Lee, SmackDown picks Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, Raw picks Braun Strowman, Raw picks Bianca Belair

Round Two Thoughts: Securing The New Day is a smart call by SmackDown, as is taking Sami Zayn as Raw already has United States Champion Bobby Lashley from Night One. Meanwhile, Raw takes some important names for their brand moving forward in Strowman, Lee, and Belair.

Round Three: SmackDown picks NXT’s Rhea Ripley, Raw picks The Miz, SmackDown picks The Usos, Raw picks Lacey Evans, Raw picks Sheamus, NXT picks Tamina

Round Three Thoughts: The next move away from NXT comes as SmackDown takes Rhea Ripley, but interesting we also see NXT take veteran Tamina here to add to their women’s division and balance out the loss of Ripley (and LeRae on Night One). Raw takes The Miz, but notably not John Morrison, and secures Lacey Evans and Sheamus in the same round.

Round Four: SmackDown picks John Morrison, Raw picks Matt Riddle, SmackDown picks The Viking Raiders, Raw picks 24/7 Champion R-Truth, Raw picks Dolph Ziggler

Round Four Thoughts: SmackDown snags John Morrison, who Raw decided it didn’t need in the previous round. SmackDown also adds The Viking Raiders, which includes Erik as a singles star and the team once Ivar later returns from injury, while Raw snags R-Truth and the 24/7 Championship.

Round Five: SmackDown picks Andrade & Angel Garza, Raw picks Ricochet, SmackDown picks NXT’s Tommaso Ciampa, Raw picks Lucha House Party, Raw picks Peyton Royce, NXT picks Chad Gable

Round Five Thoughts: SmackDown scores two good names in Andrade and Angel Garza, which like the earlier choice of The Viking Raiders serves as an asset to the singles division until Garza returns from injury and reforms the team. SmackDown also adds NXT’s Tommaso Ciampa, while NXT picks up former NXT Tag Team Champion Chad Gable and returns his rightful name to him.

Round Six: SmackDown picks Carmella, Raw picks Dana Brooke, SmackDown picks Robert Roode, Raw picks Akira Tozawa, Raw picks Mustafa Ali

Round Six Thoughts: In the final round of this mock WWE Draft, we see SmackDown add Carmella to their women’s division while Raw snags Dana Brooke. On the men’s side, SmackDown gets the recently returned Robert Roode and Raw retains current stars Akira Tozawa and Mustafa Ali.

Night Two Supplemental: SmackDown picks Zelina Vega, SmackDown picks Billie Kay, Raw picks Riddick Moss, Raw picks Mojo Rawley

Night Two Supplemental Thoughts: Like Night One, the supplemental selections allow SmackDown to round out their women’s division, an understandable struggle when Raw gets three picks for every two of SmackDown’s. Raw also tacks on Riddick Moss and Mojo Rawley, who could be a team should the brand decide to put them together.
