Kickoff Tri-Branded NXT Cruiserweight Championship Triple Threat Match: NXT’s Santos Escobar (c) vs. Raw’s Ricochet vs. SmackDown’s Kalisto

The first of several matches to include competitors from all three brands, this would also be one of two matches involving champions that would actually have the title on the line. NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar has become one of the most must-see parts of WWE NXT since capturing the title, and the dominance of Legado Del Fantasma has been nothing short of undeniable.

We’ve seen a three-brand Cruiserweight Championship Match before, and it would be great to see the tradition continue. Looking at the top competitors on Raw and SmackDown who could qualify under the 205-pound weight limit, it would be no surprise to see former Cruiserweight Champion Kalisto and show-stopping high-flyer Ricochet take up the challenge. This would surely be a must-see matchup.

Kickoff Tri-Branded WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way Match: The Riott Squad (c) vs. NXT’s Kacy Catanzaro & Kayden Carter vs. SmackDown’s Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs. Raw’s Natalya & Lana

In the second of two title matches where the championships are actually on the line, and another that would likely get relegated to the Kickoff Show despite having the potential to be a great match, we could see the reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions defend their titles. While the current champions, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, had a title defense postponed because they weren’t medically cleared, The Riott Squad seem poised to capture the titles once they do get that opportunity.

There’s also a difference between this match and the NXT Cruiserweight Championship Match. While the NXT Cruiserweight Championship is assigned to the NXT brand, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles are the one championship in WWE that floats between brands. That means The Riott Squad, even if they are still on Raw or have been moved to SmackDown, could be challenged by defending against a team representing each brand.

Looking to NXT, there’s no better choice than Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter, who have sometimes gone by the name KC Squared. Though going through troubles at the moment, we could still see SmackDown’s Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross trying to co-exist while Raw’s newer duo of Natalya and Lana could finally get the chance to pursue championship gold.
