WWE Survivor Series 2020: Secondary Champions Showcase

Tri-Branded Secondary Champions Triple Threat Match: SmackDown’s Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn vs. Raw’s United States Champion Mustafa Ali vs. NXT’s North American Champion Johnny Gargano

The next “Champion vs. Champion vs. Champion” showcase would turn the spotlight on the secondary champions for each brand. While not the top title on their respective brands, the Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship, and North American Championship have all represented some of the best wrestlers in the industry during their various tenures.

The only current champion I’m predicting to still hold their title by WWE Survivor Series 2020 is Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, who has arguably been champion since before WrestleMania 36. Meanwhile, Raw’s Mustafa Ali pinned MVP this week in a tag team match and took a win over current US Champion Bobby Lashley, setting the stage for a potential future match and chance to capture that title.

Lastly, we have Johnny Gargano, who is set to challenge current NXT North American Champion Damian Priest for the title at NXT TakeOver: 31. Should Gargano capture the title this Sunday, we could be on the brink of this absolute dream triple threat between Gargano, Ali, and Zayn.

WWE Survivor Series 2020: Women’s Traditional 5-on-5-on-5

5-on-5-on-5 Women’s Traditional Survivor Series Triple Threat Match: Team Raw (Captain Bianca Belair, Mandy Rose, Peyton Royce, Lacey Evans, and Sasha Banks) vs. Team SmackDown (Captain Naomi, Billie Kay, Carmella, Zelina Vega, and Shayna Baszler) vs. Team NXT (Captain Rhea Ripley, Shotzi Blackheart, Mickie James, Dakota Kai, and Candice LeRae)

Finally, we have the first of two massive 5-on-5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Matches, this one putting the focus on the women of each brand. While we haven’t always seen the dynamic of each team choosing a captain, or sometimes even having self-appointed captains, it would certainly add something to this year’s matches.

This is especially true because some of the members of these teams may have only arrived on their respective brands weeks before WWE Survivor Series 2020 takes place. It may become crucial for whichever team hopes to win that a captain can bring their group together to withstand the onslaught of their opponents.

In this potential matchup, we’ve got intriguing captains like Bianca Belair, Rhea Ripley, and Naomi. This field could also see The IIconics, now split up, on opposing brands and even opposing teams as a result. It would also be fascinating to see a veteran like Mickie James find a new home on NXT, where she originally returned to WWE a few years ago, joining forces with four very different young talents in hopes to secure a victory in a second straight year for the women of NXT.
